Advertised Job Summary
The program coordinator will work with the faculty principal investigators and grant staff to assist with various NIH funded diabetes projects including conducting qualitative interviews and assessments on young adults with diabetes, conducting medical records reviews, and entering data. The individual will also assist in managing data, preparing reports, preparing materials for interviews, meetings, assessments and scheduling.
Job Related Minimum Required Education And Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Psychology, Sociology, Health Behavior or relatedfield. Prior experience in qualitative interviews, transcribing, coding; or experience working with young adults with diabetes. REDCap experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong organization and communication skills, and attention to detail for success in the position.
This individual must be able to work collaboratively with faculty, grant staff, graduate and undergraduate students; exhibit excellent communication skills with staff and young adults with diabetes.

Recruit participants to interviews, conducts qualitative interviews with young adults with diabetes, take notes, codes transcribed interviews and contributes to data analyses and interpretation of data.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 40 Job Duty
Conduct physical assessments on research participants (e.g., anthropometric measures, blood pressure, subclinical measures of CVD) and collect data. Administer informed consent and assessments in a standardized manner to young adults with diabetes. Conduct in-depth medical record reviews on a subset of recruited participants.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty
Conduct pre- and post assessment duties weekly, including preparing measures to be administered, conducting phone calls, mailing or emailing information to participants, recruiting participants, and processing completed data. Track and document all attempted contacts with study participants.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty
Assist with data, including entering data, reporting summaries and ensuring data is entered in a consistent and timely manner. Provide timely feedback to the research program manager on the completion of data collection and any issues.

Assist with coordinating team meetings. This includes scheduling, summarizing reports, contributing to the agenda development and recording minutes. Participate in local and study-wide conference calls as needed.
