Job Description Overview
BlueWater is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Engineer to
join our team in support of Space Systems Command Missile Warning. The ideal
candidate will lead the engineering and testing efforts for the Next
Generation Missile Warning system, ensuring that all testing activities meet
the required standards and specifications. This role requires a deep
understanding of integrated ground systems, missile warning systems, and
agile test methodologies.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the testing efforts for Space Based Infrared Systems
(SBIRS), Missile Warning, Missile, Defense, Battlespace
Awareness, Technical Intelligence, and data exploitation, ensuring
compliance with Space Command and DoD standards and requirements.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including risk identification
and mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and ensure
alignment with operationally relevant Next Generation MW capabilities
Oversee the execution of tests, ensuring accurate data collection and
analysis.
Analyze test data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement,
providing actionable insights to key stakeholders.
Support the development and maintenance of test documentation, including
test procedures, reports, and findings.
Act as a subject matter expert in integrated ground systems and missile
warning technologies.
Participate in Agile methodologies to enhance testing processes and improve
overall project efficiency.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of missile warning trends, technologies, and
best practices related to testing and systems engineering.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related
field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in leading engineering and/or
testing efforts for complex integrated systems, preferably at Acquisition
Category III level.
Proven experience with integrated ground systems and missile warning systems.
Strong understanding of Agile test methodologies and their application in a
testing environment.
Demonstrated experience in test planning, risk identification and
mitigation, test requirements development, test execution, and test data
analysis.
Familiarity with Space Systems Command, DoD and other government agency
testing standards and practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work
effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Must possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance
Strongly desire 10+ years of experience in SBIRS or Overhead Persistent
Infrared (OPIR) domains and 5+ years of experience in OPIR Data
Exploitation or Battlespace Awareness mission areas and 4+ years of
testing, integration, and operations support on FORGE
