About Us

We’ve just launched a game-changing app in the US made exclusively for students, and we’re on a mission to grow fast! myhousr is all about helping students with their off campus housing. Our small, but growing team, is currently based out of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (Innovation Campus) and we’re now looking to add a Senior Operations Manager to help take us to the next level. As we’re an office-based team, we’re seeking someone who lives a commutable distance from the area.

The Role

Come join myhousr as our Senior Operations Manager, where you’ll be the hands-on force driving how things actually get done. You will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the company alongside our President, Craig. You will work cross-functionally to improve efficiency and productivity by getting stuck into a diverse range of projects and tasks with different parts of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and implementing core processes – Developing and refining operational workflows from the ground up, building the practical frameworks needed to support our rapid growth.
• Leading teams in execution – Guiding cross-functional teams in executing processes, setting clear expectations, and fostering a results-oriented culture.
• Solving operational challenges – Addressing issues promptly with practical solutions, ensuring processes adapt to real-world needs.
• Coordinating effectively across teams and with partners – Ensuring seamless communication with internal teams and managing relationships with external partners to maintain operational alignment.
• Utilising data to inform decisions – Regularly analysing data to track performance, recommending process adjustments, and suggesting beneficial strategic pivots, based on insights.
• Staying adaptable and responsive – Adjusting processes and execution as requirements evolve, responding to changes with flexibility to keep operations on track
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• B2B/SaaS startup experience – Hands-on experience in a 0 to 1 growth operational role, building and scaling processes from scratch in a fast-paced environment with a focus on execution.
• Stakeholder management – Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders at different levels, understanding their needs, and navigating internal processes to ensure smooth execution of business strategy.
• Data-driven decision making – Strong ability to analyse data and use insights to inform operational improvements, suggest strategic adjustments, and support business growth.
• Process creation and execution – Experience designing and implementing efficient operational workflows, optimising them to increase productivity and scalability as the business grows.
• Leadership and team development – Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, helping individuals grow and aligning efforts to achieve operational goals and deliver results.
• Organised and results-oriented – Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities and drive projects from concept through to successful execution.

Interview Process

• First Stage - Exploratory screening call with our Talent Partner (30 mins)
• Second Stage - Video call with the myhousr President (Craig) and our UK VP Ops (Nick)
• Third Stage - We’ll set you a take home task, requiring no more than 2hrs of your time. We’ll make it fun, we promise. We’d then like you to present your task to Craig and Nick, ideally during a F2F meet:
• Part 1 - A chance for you to walk through your take-home task and for us to ask questions (30 mins)
• Part 2 - Wider ranging questions about your experiences and motivations for working at myhousr, approaches to certain scenarios, working style and what you’ll bring to this role (30 mins)
• Fourth & Final Stage - Video Chat with our CEO (Harry)
• Offer - If we think it’s a good fit, we’ll make you an offer!
