Job Description
The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services seeks a passionate Administrator to lead our Maternal and Child Health (MCH) surveillance programs. In this key role, you will manage projects like Child and Maternal Death Reviews, PRAMS, and N-MIECHV. You will ensure effective MCH epidemiological functions through data management, analysis, and reporting while promoting workforce development.
As a collaborative leader, you will identify capacity gaps, strategize budgets, and coordinate resources for MCH initiatives. If you hold a Master's degree in public health or a related field and possess a strong understanding of public health practices and funding, we want to hear from you!

Minimum Hourly Rate: $32.067
Minimum Permanent Rate: $33.671 after successful completion of original probation
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in public administration, social work, human development, public health, behavioral science, law, finance, human resources, or a related field AND two years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience; OR a Master's degree in any of the above fields. Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in public health, biostatistics, or related area, and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in public health, especially in maternal and child health.
- Experience with statistical software like SAS or STATA is beneficial.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge in public health and epidemiology.
- Knowledge of grants, budgets, and supervision is required.
