Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Patient Care Coordinator, where your compassion and attention to detail will play a vital role in enhancing patient experiences. In this remote position, you will be the key liaison for patients and healthcare providers, facilitating seamless enrollment, reimbursement, and access to prescribed therapies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for patients, guiding them through the complexities of program enrollment, reimbursement, and affordability support.
  • Build and sustain robust relationships with healthcare providers, delivering critical information about care programs to meet patient needs.
  • Collaborate with prescribers and patients to eliminate barriers to therapy access, ensuring efficient transitions to treatment.
  • Serve as an authority on insurance coverage, including private/commercial plans and government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Coordinate with regional stakeholders, including sales representatives, to foster partnerships and ensure effective communication.
  • Maintain meticulous records, adhering to program and regulatory standards.
  • Cultivate trust and rapport with both patients and healthcare providers, ensuring a high standard of service.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in customer service and call center operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical insurance systems, including Medicaid, Medicare, and private/commercial plans.
  • Proficiency in prior authorization processes and insurance verification.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare claims management.
  • Background in case management and patient access coordination.
  • Bilingual capabilities are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within the healthcare sector, particularly with Medicaid and Medicare programs.
  • Previous experience in a patient-facing role, such as healthcare customer service or pharmacy benefit coordination.
  • Strong understanding of the reimbursement landscape and care coordination practices.
  • Knowledgeable in patient access processes and navigating insurance claims.
