In this position as Program Manager I, you will handle the daily operations of the Residency Office. You will play a vital leadership role in supporting and assisting the Residency Program Director in the design, implementation and management of administrative/academic operations for the Residency Program. As Program Manager I, responsibilities include managing implementation and maintenance of designated programs, planning, developing and maintaining systems and procedures and participating in the budgetary process. You also will act as a liaison between the department and outside communities, serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. While part of this team, you will have excellent opportunities to receive personal mentoring, education resources and professional development courses.
This caregiver works days from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and must be local to the Weston area.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Handle the daily operations of the Residency Office.
- Provide support for and assist the Residency Program Director in the design, implementation and management of administrative/academic operations for the Residency Program.
- Track, document and report on educational activities for residents, for the purpose of meeting board certification requirements.
- Meet national program accreditation requirements, verify medical licensure and hospital privileges documents.
- Interpret and communicate policies and procedures of Cleveland Clinic as it pertains to Graduate Medical Education.
- Oversee and coordinate annual orientation and graduation activities for the Program's Residents.
- Administer, proctor and track results of yearly in-training exams.
- Coordinate the annual clinical competence exam.
- Track and analyze the results of annual Board Certifying Exams, if applicable to program.
- Plan, implement and oversee the recruitment process, including responding to all inquiries for application materials and maintaining computer database.
- Screen applications, organize and actively participate in residency interviews and selection process.
- Serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
- Submit final rank to NRMP (National Resident Matching Program).
- Develop, implement and manage the writing and revision of recruitment materials
- Coordinate and oversee all functions of data entry personnel, if applicable to office.
- Utilize current technical information to ensure that the Residency Office is up to date and comply with computerized surveys generated by the ACGME, AMA, NRMP, Board, CAP and any other organizations which require technical documentation.
- Coordinate, develop and maintain of yearly master schedule and monthly rotations for all residents and all rotators.
- Prepare and maintain the policy and procedure manuals for the Residency Program.
- Implement evaluation systems for program curriculum, resident performance and staff teaching performance and maintain database and tracking system.
- Assist and provide back up support for all resident and fellowship positions.
- Provide general support for the Director, Graduate Medical Education as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field OR High School diploma/GED and six years of experience OR Associate’s degree and four years of experience OR Master’s degree and one year of experience
- Experience with auditing
- Two years of experience in project management, data analysis and systems training
- Experience in a healthcare setting
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
