We are seeking an experienced Principal Factory Systems Engineer to lead our team's software development and factory support efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems that interact directly with customers, as well as providing technical leadership and support to our factory operations.



Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and implementation of software systems for factory operations, including those that interact directly with customers
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including software development, factory operations, and customer support
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer requirements and develop software solutions that meet those needs
  • Design, develop, and implement software systems that integrate with factory equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to software and factory operations
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective factory operations
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to implement software solutions and integrate with factory systems


Hybrid:

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform work onsite, some efforts may be (mostly) full-time on-site. Work that can be done remotely will allow for a hybrid working environment.



Required Education, Experience, & Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with a focus on software development and integration
  • Strong understanding of factory operations and manufacturing processes
  • Basic understanding of software development concepts, including programming languages, networking, and version control
  • Ability to debug code and troubleshoot technical issues, with a focus on identifying and resolving root causes
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and providing technical leadership



Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills


  • Experience with RF device manufacturing and testing
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience with cloud-based software solutions and integration with factory systems
  • Familiarity with MBSE methodologies and best practices, including the ability to apply MBSE principles to complex system development
  • Strong grasp of data collection, management, and analysis, including:
    • Data collection and integration from various sources
    • Data management and storage solutions
    • Data analysis and visualization techniques
    • Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
