Crane Currency has an opportunity for a college student to gain hands-on experience in our Product Management department. This full-time role is onsite and is based out of Nashua, New Hampshire and can start in January or May of 2026, lasting approximately 6 months.

How You Will Make An Impact

Our program is designed to give you the chance to make a true impact on the business. You will have a direct effect by means of the following work:

  • Investigate the fundamental properties of the company’s products to support ongoing research and development efforts.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments to test product capabilities, gather and compile data, and generate reports on market or technical data.
  • Assist in optimizing production processes by analyzing data and suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Prepare customer-facing samples to support sales and marketing activities, ensuring that samples meet quality and specification standards.

Knowledge And Expertise That Matter Most For This Role

  • You must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited institution majoring in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or materials science engineering; and, completed at least one full year of college or university studies; higher preference to rising Juniors or Seniors.
  • Trained in laboratory safety and capable of working independently in a lab environment.
  • Self-starter and exhibits strong curiosity
  • Attentive to details with a continuous Improvement mindset
  • Excellent oral and written communication and ability to work autonomously or in a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and able to present.
  • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen with an ability to demonstrate and maintain suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements

Preferred

  • Operational knowledge of laboratory equipment such as FTIR, SEM, and confocal microscopy
  • Experience with statistical analysis software
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic
