The Evening Housekeeper position is responsible for all areas of operation including, but not limited to, regular cleaning of the Center for Health and Well-Being and Thomson Building, reporting of facility issues, assisting with recycling efforts, maintaining minimal stock levels of custodial supplies. Compensation for the Housekeeper starts at $15.00 and can vary depending on experience and expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities
One year of custodial, housekeeping or waste management experience is preferred. Must be able to perform moderately heavy physical duties (i.e. lifting waste cans, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.).

Compensation for the Housekeeper starts at $15.00 and can vary depending on experience and expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sanitation: All floors, surfaces, furniture, windows and windowsills, bathroom areas, and water fountains are cleaned daily. The standards of cleaning are developed by the Facilities Manager and regulated by current AAAHC standards. Housekeeping job responsibilities include the following:
- Ensure the following duties are accomplished between the hours of 4pm-10pm, Mon-Friday.
- Empty all trash in offices, provider’s areas, treatment rooms, and common spaces in the Thomson Building.
- Sweep and/or vacuum the elevator, all offices, provider spaces, treatment rooms, stairwells, and common spaces in the CHW and Thomson Building.
- Mop floors (if applicable), in the elevator, all offices, provider spaces, treatment rooms, stairwells, and common spaces in the CHW and Thomson Building.
- The following locations are considered high risk areas for germs, and should be wiped down, sterilized, and disinfected thoroughly each night: All Countertops, water fountains, door handles, elevator walls, hand sanitizers, stairwell railing, check in KIOSK, and common surfaces.
- Wipe down, sterilize, and disinfect desktops in offices. Do not move items on desktops or bookshelves. Work around these items.
- In restrooms, floors shall be swept and mopped, sinks sterilized/disinfected, toilet cleaned, sterilize/disinfected, walls and common surfaces sterilize/disinfected, and soap and towels should be replaced if needed.
- Turn off all lights, not located near a surveillance camera (lights to stay on are labeled).
- Lock all offices and provider areas after cleaning.
- Perform, special deep cleaning projects as assigned by the Evening Housekeeping Supervisor or the Facilities Manager
- Store cleaning supplies in designated storage areas in an orderly fashion.
- Enter time into time keeping database HR Peoplesoft no-later-than close of business every Friday.
- Attend monthly meeting with Evening Housekeeping Supervisor and the Facilities Manager.
