Description
The Investment Operations Analyst is part of the investment operations team, which provides portfolio accounting and related services to the company. This position is a mid-level operations opportunity to join a growing firm providing advancement opportunity.
Job Description
- Conducts daily reconciliation on assigned portfolios using the Advent System
- Responsible for account set-up, securities set-up, and posting transactions
- Assists with the creation, coordination, and management of protects
- Creates queries that can be utilized to develop reports and enhance processes
- Completes assignments as requested
- Interacts with internal clients and responds to their needs, ensuring needs are met
- Works with Senior Investment Operations Analyst for project assignments and priority-based needs; must be accountable for reaching designated project milestones and completion dates with minimal supervision
- Involvement in project support or leadership as requested
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related subject, and/or equivalent experience
- 1+ year of portfolio accounting experience
- Experience with portfolio accounting systems required
- Demonstrated command of Advent applications; proficiency in creating reports
- Demonstrated knowledge of investments
- Positive attitude and willingness to reach above and beyond in providing customer service to associates within the firm
- Demonstrated a Client First attitude, always aiming to exceed client expectations and being solutions focused
- Demonstrated willingness to exceed expectations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Demonstrated detail orientation and accuracy
- Must be able to work within a team as well as independently
