First point of contact for our patients regarding billing inquiries, providing excellent service and handling sensitive financial conversations.
Position Requirements
Position Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- Computer skills with Microsoft programs as well as specialized software
- 2+ years of medical office experience or call center customer service preferred
- Excellent telephone skills
- Good judgment and resolution skills
- Ability to interact in a positive manner and to remain calm, patient and professional
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes
- Respond to phone calls from patients and others regarding medical bills
- Answer questions about charges, insurance coverage, and payment options
- Assist patients with understanding their bills and help resolve billing discrepancies or issues
- Utilize MedInformatix software to research and document billing conversations
- Process patient payments
- Maintain day-to-day billing correspondence
- Maintains confidentiality of facility and patient information in accordance to company policy
- Uphold the positive reputation of our office by maintaining a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner
