This role requires the ability to analyze complex technical, clinical, and policy content and translate it into clear, accessible language for executive and legislative audiences. The Healthcare Analyst/Writer will work under the guidance of more senior positions and assist in the preparation of deliverables while maintaining consistency in style and tone.

Education & Experience
Consistent, full-time work expected Monday – Friday, eight hours per day in a focused and fast-paced environment.

- Role Details: This is a temporary W2 role for 3 months, with the possibility of follow-on work, though it is not guaranteed. The position is remote, but preferred candidates would be located in the VA/MD/DC area.
- Draft, edit, and review healthcare assessment reports, policy documents, and other supporting materials for submission to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Congress, and the Federal Register.
- Translate complex technical, clinical, and policy content into clear, accessible language that is tailored for executive leadership, legislative audiences, and public stakeholders.
- Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and style across all written deliverables, adhering to VA branding and communication standards.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the technical accuracy and completeness of all written content, verifying that all details are correct and compliant with relevant standards.
- Manage editorial workflows and version control for assessment products, ensuring that all deliverables are produced on time and meet established quality standards.
- Support the creation of summary briefs, infographics, and public-facing materials for dissemination to stakeholders, ensuring that these materials are clear, concise, and aligned with project objectives.
Education & Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare writing, policy analysis, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Communications, English, or a related discipline.
- Experience in drafting, editing, and reviewing healthcare-related documents, particularly in government or legislative settings.
- Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare systems, particularly within government agencies such as the VA, and an understanding of the policy frameworks that drive healthcare operations.
- Writing & Editing Expertise: Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical or clinical content into clear, understandable language for various audiences.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all written deliverables.
- Collaboration with SMEs: Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the accuracy and completeness of written content.
- Editorial Workflow Management: Experience managing editorial processes, version control, and meeting tight deadlines while ensuring the quality of deliverables.
- Data Visualization & Brief Development: Ability to support the creation of concise summary briefs, infographics, and public-facing documents that effectively communicate key findings and recommendations.
- Communication Standards Compliance: Knowledge of and adherence to branding, communication standards, and guidelines, particularly within the VA or government healthcare settings.
