The Sector Vice President (VP) for Commercial Innovation & Defense Technology reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead strategic growth initiatives focused on expanding BSI’s commercial footprint across both products and services. This executive role carries full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility and oversees a business unit tasked with developing and executing commercial engagements, partnerships, product development and market strategies. The Sector VP will manage functional line managers and be responsible for assigned personnel, driving innovation, operational excellence, and revenue growth.

- Develop and implement strategic plans for the sector in alignment with the company's overall goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to sector teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Provide top cover for managers to the customer (prime and government)
- Oversee sector operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes and practices.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive cross-functional initiatives and achieve company-wide objectives.
- Establish and manage sector budgets, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Drive business development efforts to expand market presence and increase revenue.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Mentor and develop CTO division leaders, promoting professional growth and succession planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- TS/SCI Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Proven experience as a senior leader, preferably within a product/service-driven organization.
- Strong network across commercial sectors, including enterprise clients, integrators, and technology partners.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, business development, and P&L management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Deep understanding of technology trends, market dynamics, and customer needs.
- Experience leading high-performing teams and managing complex initiatives.
