What You’ll Do as an Area Director
As a key leader at Flynn Group, you’ll oversee multiple Arby’s locations, driving operational excellence, financial performance, and team development. Your responsibilities include: Financial Leadership
- Own P&L accountability, monitoring performance, forecasting expenses, and controlling costs.
- Coach unit managers to identify variances and develop corrective action plans.
- Support financial forecasting and ensure compliance with inventory controls.
- Authorize expenditures and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports to keep your district thriving.
Operational Excellence
- Uphold Flynn Group’s high standards for quality, service, cleanliness, and safety.
- Ensure consistent execution of company systems, procedures, and product quality.
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and operational projects to address deficiencies and boost performance.
- Drive exceptional customer experiences through new product rollouts and operational initiatives.
Marketing & Community Engagement
- Execute marketing and sales promotions, preparing teams for success.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to seize local store marketing (LSM) opportunities.
- Build community connections through unit-level programs and customer engagement initiatives.
Facilities & Safety Leadership
- Maintain “Best on Block” restaurant standards through proactive facility management.
- Oversee safety and security protocols, preventive maintenance, and cost-effective repairs.
- Partner with management teams and vendors to ensure top-tier facility conditions.
People Leadership
- Inspire and develop high-performing teams through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of growth, providing feedback and preparing managers for promotion.
- Lead recruitment efforts to build strong, diverse teams.
- Ensure compliance with all employment regulations while nurturing a positive, inclusive environment.
Legal & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations across all operations.
- Act as a liaison between restaurants and support teams, embodying Flynn Group’s values and professional image.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 2+ years of multi-unit management experience, ideally with a national chain restaurant.
- Business Savvy: Strong ability to analyze and drive business results at an organizational level.
- Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to inspire and collaborate with teams.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and build diverse, high-performing teams.
- Organization: Superior self-management and organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, with travel within your assigned area (valid driver’s license and auto insurance required).
