We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level Architect/Designer with up to 5 years of experience, who thrives in a fast-paced and team-focused working environment. This position is open in our Middletown, CT or Albany, NY office. Employees of all levels are involved in every aspect of design from concept through construction. The ideal candidate is seeking advancement in their career and welcomes this opportunity to leverage Wendel’s established presence in the northeast region and grow our regional offices.

Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of conventional architecture assignments for projects of small to moderate size and complexity.
- Regular tasks include planning and design studies and production of architectural drawings.
- Assists others in the research and compilation of data, completing code analysis, writing project specifications, preparing reports and creating presentation materials.
- Knowledge of basic commercial construction and experience in detailing is a plus.
- Familiarity with Site/Civil, Structural & MEP/FP drawings and general concepts is a plus.
- Occasional local travel for project work required.
- Licensed and non-licensed candidates that meet these criteria will be considered.
- Minimum of an associate’s degree in architecture and up to 5 years of working experience in a professional architecture firm is preferred.
- Ability to work successfully independently and within the context of a larger multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational skills to meet planned deliverables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is required.
- Must be able to effectively manage workload across multiple projects in a timely manner to maximize value to the company and our clients.
- Experience working in REVIT within a professional environment is preferred.
