Orange City Council is looking for a skilled Water Treatment Engineer to join our Water and Sewer section. In this role you will be a key player in optimising our water and sewage treatment processes to meet compliance goals and manage capital improvement projects.

Role

We are searching for someone who is ready to make a positive impact. To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, or associated discipline
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card) or the ability to acquire
• Current Class C driver’s licence
• Experience working in a water or wastewater treatment environment relating to process improvement and optimisation
• Established knowledge and understanding of water and wastewater treatment and pumping procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Knowledge and understanding of SCADA control systems
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment project planning
