Renewed Vision CDDC is seeking a Vocational Coordinator to manage and support the vocational staff and direct services for individuals with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a people-oriented leader with great communication and organizational skills to manage the daily operations of these services. This position is integral to implementing and supervising day service programs for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities, providing crisis prevention and advocacy support, sourcing referrals for program growth, maintaining compliance with standards and billing guidelines, achieving high-quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of excellence in service delivery. This position will support the Director to ensure that all vocational programs operate effectively, meet state and federal regulations, and align with the mission, values, and vision of Renewed Vision CDDC.

- Oversee the delivery of person-centered services, ensuring program supports individuals in achieving independence, inclusion and personal goals.
- Ensure programs are operating in compliance with RVCDDC policies and procedures, state and federal regulations relating to the support of individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Regularly evaluate program structures, identify opportunities to improve service delivery, and optimize outcomes. Expand service offerings and adapt existing programs to address community needs, organizational goals, and industry trends.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to vocational staff.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring and training new support staff.
- Foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and teamwork across all program areas.
- Gather information from referral sources, including social workers, guardians, and caregivers, to assess the client's needs, strengths, and preferences.
- Actively engage with potential clients, their families, and guardians to highlight the benefits of Renewed Vision CDDC’s vocational program.
- Conduct tours of vocational facility and provide detailed explanations of the services offered, focusing on how programs are tailored to client needs.
- Assess incoming referrals for vocational services, ensuring alignment with organizational capabilities and program capacity.
- Work collaboratively with service coordinators to review Individual Service Plans (ISPs), ensuring compatibility with client needs and goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including case notes, incident reports, evaluations, and program metrics.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements regarding documentation and record-keeping.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and other documentation for internal and external use.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Medicaid Waiver standards, Nebraska state regulations, and national best practices.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with individuals served, their families, and support networks. Serve as a point of contact for families, caregivers, and referral sources to address questions, concerns, and inquiries.
- Address and resolve crises or concerns using a person-centered approach.
- Advocate for the needs and goals of individuals within the organization and the broader community.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and coordination of services.
- Participate in organizational meetings and training.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including case reviews, audits, and program evaluations, to ensure compliance with agency standards and best practices.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations, policies, and procedures related to IDD services.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Medicaid Waiver standards, Nebraska state regulations, and national best practices.
- Manage program budgets ensuring resources are allocated appropriately.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including program management or supervision.
- Knowledge of DHHS processes and procedures with regard to IDD waiver referrals, placements, rules and regulations.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in computer applications and electronic record-keeping systems.
- Must pass background check, have a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
- The position typically operates in an office environment with regular business hours. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
