Join ATARID Specialist Recruiters in partnering with a prominent national developer and manager of affordable housing, seeking a skilled Regional Vice President to oversee multifamily operations across multiple states. This pivotal role will enable you to drive operational excellence while fostering a culture of compliance and financial accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and enhance operations to ensure staff meet financial objectives and comply with established practices.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members to optimize overall performance.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with agencies, investors, and ownership groups while effectively managing communications.
- Provide regional updates and ensure consistent information flow within the team.
- Conduct frequent property visits to monitor compliance and operational standards.
- Guide direct reports on budgeting, expense management, capital improvements, and maintenance guidelines.
- Ensure property management teams are knowledgeable about important schedules related to rent-ups and tax credits.
- Coordinate weekly meetings with Regional Managers for properties currently in the rent-up phase.
- Keep Development and Senior Management updated on operational progress.
- Travel as required to properties within the designated portfolio, as well as for corporate meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
- Proven ability in managing multi-state property operations, particularly in affordable housing, with a strong understanding of compliance, including LIHTC, HUD, and S8 regulations.
- Working knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and local City and State programs.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgets, capital expenses, and operational management.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with strong communication skills, fostering long-term relationships with investors, ownership, and regulatory bodies.
- Proficiency in MS 365 and property management software.
- Minimum of 10 years of adept management experience in multi-state property operations focused on affordable housing.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CPO, CPM, SHCM, or TCM are preferred.
- Willingness to engage in travel, estimated at 40%.
