Position Summary

As Vice President, General Manager, Bloomingdale’s, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of wholesale and retail concession performance within our vendor partner’s stores. This includes executing strategies to achieve sales targets, implementing plans to boost customer satisfaction, positive word of mouth, and referrals, driving business development and growth, leading, motivating, and inspiring staff, and fostering brand loyalty and repeat business.

Essential Functions

Strategy and Vision

  • Implement a comprehensive retail concession strategy, targeting the launch of 4 new concessions within Bloomingdale’s early next year.
  • Devise and oversee the successful execution of a wholesale strategy that optimizes revenue and customer satisfaction across 27 Bloomingdale’s stores.
  • Seize opportunities to optimize digital sales whenever possible.
  • Set a compelling vision for the account and provide strategic direction to achieve business growth and profitability.

Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for wholesale and retail concessions, assessing performance, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Financial Management

  • Drive sales growth and profitability by setting and achieving ambitious sales targets for the account.
  • Oversee the financial performance of our Bloomingdale’s account, managing budgets, expenses, and revenue targets.

Market Analysis

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market changes, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities and competitive advantages.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure that wholesale and retail concession operations and processes are optimized to provide exceptional customer experiences.
  • Establish operational excellence by implementing best-in-class clienteling tools, a premium service and selling ceremony, and luxury retail best practices.
  • Implement processes for inventory management and loss prevention.

Marketing and Promotion

  • Work with marketing teams to develop and execute effective wholesale and retail concession marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Maintain adherence to brand standards and ensure consistency in visual merchandising and store presentation across all locations.

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing leadership team, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, innovation, and accountability.
  • Lead and mentor the management team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

Customer relations

  • Create a customer-centric culture, ensuring the consistent delivery of premium customer experiences and clienteling across all sites.
  • Build and nurture relationships with high-value customers, fostering brand loyalty and repeat business.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, retail management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior retail concession management role, preferably as Head of Stores.
  • Advanced understanding of retail operations and best practices.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work 2-3 days per week in our Philadelphia Headquarters (this is not a remote job).
  • Ability to travel up to 60% per week throughout our Bloomingdale’s portfolio.
