USA - Scientist II (Scientific) (contract)

Job Summary

Join Sanofi's contingent workforce program, FLEXT Direct, as a Scientist II for a 12-month contract with the potential for extension. As part of the Upstream group, you will collaborate on bench-scale experimentation for fed-batch and perfusion processes. Your role involves designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, interpreting results, presenting findings to teams, authoring technical reports, and contributing to project teams for knowledge transfer. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively within the Upstream group on bench-scale experimentation for fed-batch and perfusion processes
• Design and conduct experiments, perform data analysis, and interpret results independently
• Present data and results within department and project teams
• Author internal procedures and technical reports
• Contribute to project teams for knowledge and technology transfer to pilot scale or commercial manufacturing
• Set up and maintain upstream laboratory equipment, systems, and training
  
  
  

Skills

• PhD or Master’s degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry or equivalent with 0-1 years relevant industry experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry or equivalent with 3 years relevant industry experience
• Must have permanent US work authorization
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
• Hands-on experience at laboratory, pilot, or manufacturing scale for biologics products
• Knowledge in cell culture process development, bioreactor design and control strategies as applied to mammalian-expressed proteins
• Excellent scientific background
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills
• Experience with statistical analysis software
