UITS ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS (UA-ES-IUBLA)
The Experience Web Development and Delivery team (EXDD) supports campus gateway and enterprise websites, and builds web applications that deliver content as data across the university¿s digital properties. EXDD is seeking a web developer intern to assist with the migration of data from legacy applications into enterprise web solutions, providing practical experience in modern web development practices while contributing to high-impact university projects.

The internship is based on 150 hours of work that can be configured as the supervisor and student desire.

EXDD is seeking a web developer intern to assist with the migration of data from legacy applications into enterprise web solutions, providing practical experience in modern web development practices while contributing to high-impact university projects.
- Collaborates with EXDD team members on migrating data from legacy applications into enterprise web solutions.
- Supports the development and maintenance of APIs and web applications within the LAMP stack, primarily using Laravel.
- Participates in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions.
- Gains hands-on experience with modern web development workflows, including containerized deployments and version control.
Required
- Current enrolled as a student at Indiana University with an interest in web development.
- Currently enrolled in Information Technology, Informatics, or other computing/engineering field major or minor
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Foundational knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP) gained through coursework, projects, or prior experience.
- Basic understanding of relational databases (MySQL or similar).
- Experience with Laravel or another PHP framework.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Familiarity with containerized development and deployment (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting in a collaborative setting.
- Attention to detail in coding, testing, and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication and listening skills
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism
