Student Fellowship Program Coordinator

Job Description: The Student Fellowship Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the routine daily activities and functions of the Student Fellowship Program. This is a privately funded position. The Program Coordinator assists the Student Fellowship Program Manager in all aspects of supporting the goals of the Atrius “Youth as Healthcare Change Agents” Grant by ensuring that qualifying high school students are given a clearly defined opportunity to learn more about the day-to-day operations and requirements of different careers within the field of healthcare.

Specific Duties

• Scheduling and taking meeting minutes for steering committee meetings.
• Monitoring mentoring goals and outcomes.
• Coordinate, schedule and participate in community events and partnership meetings including but not limited to “Days in the Life” job shadowing, health fairs, and community advocacy meetings.
• Solicit staff mentors.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• History of satisfactory attendance and a positive work attitude.
• Experience in a Health Care and/or Education setting.
• Computer/typing Skills; Experience with Microsoft office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires frequent multitasking; flexibility.
• Effective Communication skills with multiple disciplines, professionals, and students/parents.
• Excellent organizational skills and social skills.
• Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, detail oriented, and assertive when necessary.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
• Experience working with youth/students.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, H
