The Role
This position plays a central role in supporting customers throughout the full development lifecycle—from initial integration through to final validation. You will be responsible for ensuring customers receive responsive, high-quality technical support and for working closely with both client teams and internal engineers to ensure smooth integration of our technology into customer vehicles.
Based close to our customers, you will be well placed to rapidly diagnose issues, conduct real-time investigations and collaborate directly with engineering teams on site. This proximity helps you maintain broad system awareness and differentiate between vehicle-originated issues and those related to the Wayve AI Driver.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on technical support for customers during integration and development
- Integrate Wayve’s software modules and APIs with customer vehicle hardware platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Drive, Qualcomm Ride)
- Diagnose, investigate and resolve issues arising during integration to ensure stable system behaviour
- Triage incoming technical concerns, determine their domain, and assign them to the appropriate teams
- Act as the liaison between customer integration engineers and Wayve’s internal teams
- Manage feature requests, maintain strong relationships with customers, and serve as the main technical point of contact
- Monitor and analyse performance of integrated systems, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring efficient operation
About You
To succeed as a Staff Application Software Engineer at Wayve, you’ll bring:
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Practical experience in embedded or automotive software development using C/C++
- Knowledge of vehicle integration and platform bring-up on automotive-grade SoCs (e.g., NVIDIA Orin, Qualcomm SA8295/SA8650)
- Experience integrating software with MCU, ECU, or AutoSAR middleware environments
- Good understanding of vehicle E/E architecture, vehicle networks (Ethernet, CAN bus) and communication protocols
- Familiarity with QNX, Linux or POSIX operating systems
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python
- Excellent communication abilities to work effectively with customers and internal teams
- Willingness to travel when needed
