Job Description

Primary Function:

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Data Specialist to join our team and help with clinical data annotation, collection and testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to balance attention to detail and time efficiency. The candidate will play a critical role in annotating videos and images of surgical and operating room workflows, as well as evaluating various AI models to ensure they meet our quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Annotate operating room workflow videos and images accurately and consistently to support AI product research and development.
  • Annotate surgical videos and images with their corresponding phases, steps, anatomy, and objects.
  • Ensure the alignment of visual content with the relevant language data, including identifying objects, actions, and context.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of annotation processes and methodologies to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Collaborate effectively within a small team to share insights, challenges, and solutions in a proactive manner.
  • Manage multiple annotation projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and ensuring quality assurance.
  • Contribute to clinical lab data collection.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, share learnings, and refine best practices.

Qualifications

Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, biomedical engineering, data science, etc.).
  • Proven experience in data annotation. Experience with labeling tools and platforms, with a willingness to learn new tools as needed.
  • Familiarity with surgical operating rooms, procedures, and workflows is a plus. Training and assistance will be provided in this area; however, prior experience and interest will be an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent documentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns in data, make informed decisions on labeling strategies, evaluate technology, and provide constructive feedback.

Soft Skills And Leadership Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to watch live and recorded surgical videos.
  • Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information professionally.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1:$98,600 - $133,400

Base Salary Range Region 2: $83,800 - $113,400

Shift: Day

Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
