We’re searching for a Social Strategy & Community Lead to bring our brand to life every day on Instagram, TikTok, and whatever platform is next. This is more than a posting job. It’s a storytelling, trend-spotting, culture-driving role that translates our company goals and values into scroll-stopping content that fosters a meaningful connection with our growing community. This person will set the social vision, define the calendar, lead performance strategy, and help make Jeni’s one of the most loved brands in the feed.
The Social Strategy & Community Lead will report to the Creative Director and be based in Columbus, Ohio. This role includes managing one direct report.

What you’ll do:
- Define the strategy for Jeni’s organic TikTok and Instagram channels and approach
- Build and nurture community, responding to comments and messages with confidence, warmth, and speed
- Expand Jeni’s presence on new and emerging social media channels
- Develop best-in-class content mix including content that is created independently, brand-produced, UGC and influencer-created
- Pitch social-first ideas and identify ways to extend the Jeni’s brand and story telling through digital content
- Partner closely with brand, creative, innovation, and digital / media teams to align on launches, moments, and messaging
- Stay ahead of platform trends, features, and algorithm shifts — and move fast when opportunities arise
- Write compelling, thumb-stopping copy and contribute to creative development across visual formats
- Set KPIs and oversee ongoing reporting and benchmarking
Qualified applicants will have the following education and experience:
- 4–6 years of hands-on social media experience, ideally on the brand side
- Fluency in the language, trends, and creators of Instagram, TikTok, and Gen Z internet culture
- A strategic mindset with a creative heart — you see how social drives business and builds brand love
- Experience developing and managing content calendars and working cross-functionally to bring them to life
- Comfort with analytics and using data to inform and improve content
- A genuine passion for food — especially what’s next in the culinary world — and an ability to translate flavors, textures, and food experiences into irresistible stories
- Curiosity, empathy, and enthusiasm for culture, community, and — of course — ice cream
