This position includes installing, maintaining, and repairing ductwork systems to ensure proper airflow throughout buildings. An HVAC duct installer works with both sheet metal and flexible ductwork in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

This position will report to our office location in Holt, FL and locations in the surrounding area. Normal work hours are 6:30AM - 3:00 PM, but these times will vary when the production schedule requires.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
Necessary Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.
Working Conditions
Job is performed at outdoor site locations. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.

- Installing ductwork according to blueprints, ensuring proper connections and minimizing air leaks.
- Inspecting and maintaining existing ductwork, identifying and repairing leaks, and ensuring optimal airflow.
- Fixing damaged or malfunctioning ductwork, including replacing sections or making adjustments as needed.
- Fabricating duct components, including cutting, bending, and joining sheet metal, often using specialized tools.
- Installing insulation around ductwork to prevent heat loss or gain, improving energy efficiency.
- Diagnosing issues with the ductwork system and implementing solutions to restore proper function.
- Using a variety of tools and equipment, including: shears, brakes, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, leak detection devices, and refrigerant recovery machines

- Minimum 1 year of construction experience
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork design, and installation techniques
- Must be able to work on a ladder or scissor lift
- Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to diagnose issues and find solutions.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand architectural and HVAC plans
- Attention to detail, ensuring accurate measurements, connections, and sealing of ductwork
- Customer service skills
