Key Responsibilities
- Project Strategy & Planning
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines aligned with strategic objectives.
- Assess project risks and define mitigation plans.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Direct project managers, superintendents, and support teams.
- Monitor performance and promote a collaborative, high-performing environment.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key project communications.
- Financial Oversight
- Manage project budgets, cash flow, and cost controls.
- Analyze financial performance and implement cost-effective strategies.
- Quality & Safety
- Oversee project compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Promote a proactive culture of safety and accountability.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project records, permits, and change orders.
- Provide executive-level reporting on project status, risks, and financials.
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience managing heavy civil construction projects
- Proven track record with large-scale DOT, municipal, and public works projects
- Strong command of compliance, permitting, and construction specifications
- Expertise in project scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or MS Project)
- Proficient with construction management software (Vista, B2W, HCSS, Procore, or similar)
- Knowledgeable in concrete/asphalt paving, structures, utilities, and earthwork
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred
