Job Summary:

Trimble is a technology company delivering solutions that enable customers to work in new ways. They are seeking an innovative Product Manager to drive the development of the Agentic Services Platform, focusing on building foundational infrastructure and empowering developer communities.


Responsibilities:

• Champion a clear and compelling product vision and strategy for the Core Platform & APIs, aligning with the overall Agentic AI platform goals and the needs of the AECO industry. Identify opportunities to enhance platform capabilities, improve developer experience, and ensure scalability and reliability.

• Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for core platform infrastructure, APIs, developer tools, and foundational agentic capabilities. Meticulously manage the core platform backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and engineering capacity.

• Work intensely and collaboratively with the VP's engineering team and assigned Tech Leads to translate platform requirements into technical specifications and ensure successful, timely delivery of platform features and enhancements.

• Lead the design of intuitive, robust, and well-documented APIs. Act as the unwavering voice of the developer, deeply understanding their needs, workflows, and pain points to ensure the platform and tools provide an excellent developer experience.

• Maintain a deep understanding of modern platform architectures, including microservices, scalable systems, API design best practices, and developer tooling. Translate complex technical concepts into clear requirements and advocate for best practices in platform development.

• Serve as a primary liaison and collaborative partner for various Business Area/Product Teams who will consume the platform, as well as with UX, documentation, and other relevant teams. Foster strong relationships and facilitate seamless communication.

• Develop and manage a strategic product roadmap for the Core Platform & APIs. Guide prioritization of competing initiatives based on developer needs, technical feasibility, strategic alignment, and overall business impact.

• Employ strong agile and project management methodologies to keep platform development efforts organized, transparent, and on track. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, managing dependencies across teams effectively.

• Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including business leaders, design teams, engineering groups, and other product teams. Clearly articulate platform strategy, project status, risks, and anticipated outcomes.

• Collaborate with relevant teams to support the release of new platform versions, APIs, and developer tools, including contributing to documentation and developer onboarding materials.


Qualifications:


Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8+ years of experience in technical product management, with a strong focus on platform products, APIs, developer tools, or enterprise software infrastructure. A proven track record of successfully launching and managing technical products.

• Strong foundational understanding and practical experience with API design principles, microservices architecture, scalable systems, and cloud technologies.

• Demonstrated ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear requirements, robust platform solutions, and compelling value propositions for developers.

• Deep empathy for developers and a passion for creating tools and platforms that enhance their productivity and experience.

• Excellent project management skills, with experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in an agile environment.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams and stakeholders at all levels.

• Proven ability to be the voice of the developer and advocate for their needs.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize among competing initiatives and make data-driven decisions.

• A proactive, self-starter mentality with a strong sense of ownership, a passion for innovation, and an eagerness to build foundational technologies.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace new technologies, and lead change by inspiring others.
