Geist is a digital brand studio based in Portland, Oregon. We design scalable brand systems that humanize tomorrow’s everyday technologies, working with emerging companies across AI, space services, robotics, biotech, media, and consumer products.
We’re seeking a Senior Designer to join us as we thoughtfully scale the studio. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with our small, senior team on cutting-edge frontier technology projects, helping shape the brands that bring new innovations to life.

We’re seeking a Senior Designer to join us as we thoughtfully scale the studio. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with our small, senior team on cutting-edge frontier technology projects, helping shape the brands that bring new innovations to life.
The Role
- Develop brand design systems under creative direction
- Design digital experiences across product, web, and emerging platforms
- Present design concepts directly to clients
- Collaborate closely with the Design Director and partners
- Work on one primary project at a time (typical project duration: 2—6 months)
- Contribute to studio culture and creative processes
- Support studio-wide initiatives and internal projects
- Loves design, above all
- Works at a senior level, with 5+ years experience agency-side or in-house
- Has strong experience building brand identity systems and digital experiences
- Can translate creative direction into polished, systematic design execution
- Is committed to achieving craft excellence down to the last detail
- Can work flexibly between structured process and creative improvisation
- Articulates ideas clearly in presentations and client meetings
- Is proficient in Figma
- Has specialized skills in one or more additional areas: motion design, photo direction, illustration, type design, 3D design, creative coding
- Salary range between $90—130K, based on experience
