Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead within the Security Operations Center (SOC), overseeing daily cybersecurity monitoring, threat detection, and incident response activities. Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead within the Security Operations Center (SOC), overseeing daily cybersecurity monitoring, threat detection, and incident response activities. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cybersecurity operations, a proactive mindset, and the ability to lead by example while collaborating across teams to strengthen our organization’s security posture.
Essential Functions
- Support the alignment of cybersecurity initiatives with organizational goals and objectives through analysis and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and help manage cybersecurity risks by conducting thorough risk analyses and recommending mitigations.
- Serve as the senior technical lead within the Security Operations Center (SOC), coordinating daily security operations and ensuring continuity.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents, ensuring timely detection, analysis, and resolution.
- Act as the primary responder for security incidents, leading investigations and collaborating with internal teams to contain and remediate threats.
- Ensure that critical security patches are identified, tracked, and reported on across datacenter servers and workstations.
- Manage and review access control configurations and collaborate with system owners to ensure that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive systems and data.
- Conduct regular audits of access rights and permissions, recommending updates to maintain least-privilege principles.
- Support the deployment, configuration, and continuous optimization of security technologies, including Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, F5 Networks, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, etc.
- Research and provide technical evaluations of new security tools and services to support organizational needs and address emerging threats.
- Mentor junior analysts, sharing knowledge and fostering technical growth within the cybersecurity team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- In-depth knowledge of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, threat modeling, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Extensive hands-on experience with cybersecurity platforms, including SIEM, DLP, EDR, and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Skilled in designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructures in Azure (primarily) and AWS, aligned with security best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to configure and manage enterprise-grade network security technologies, including Palo Alto firewalls and IDS/IPS systems.
- Proficient in deploying and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions such as Azure AD, Okta, and Duo.
- Adept at securing hybrid IT environments across on-premises and Azure cloud platform using advanced network security protocols and remote access technologies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; effective at solving complex problems and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
