Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Senior Financial Aid Counselor will join a team of Financial Aid Professionals servicing both undergraduate and graduate students at Eastern Kentucky University. The position will actively serve students and their families through financial aid related services. The incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders and support and utilize software. In addition, this position will assist in developing and implementing specific policies, programs, and services to ensure funds are properly communicated, awarded, disbursed, and accurately reconciled.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: One year of work experience required. Customer service experience in higher education or office setting preferred.

- 25% - Advise and counsel prospective and current students and families on policy and processes, unique circumstances for individual applicants, and options for funding a college education. - ()

- 25% - Advise and counsel prospective and current students and families on policy and processes, unique circumstances for individual students, and options for course registration based on their program of study or intended major. - ()
- 10% - Assess and interpret Financial Aid, Student Accounting, and Registrar policies and procedures to the successful implementation and administration of collaborative student essential services. - ()
- 10% - Collaborate with university stakeholders for programming, visits, and events; demonstrate exceptional professionalism, as well as excellence in customer service, collaboration, cross-training and performance. - ()
- 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - ()
