Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities
- Test case design and peer review
- Manual test execution
- Identify and communicate any obstacles in completing tasks on schedule
- Participate in daily standups, provide feedback, and escalate accordingly
- Engage with developers and business analysts in defect and issue resolution
- Highlight requirement and design gaps as early in development as possible
- Create and/or maintain documentation for knowledge-sharing and training purposes
- Basic understanding of Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering practices and objectives
- Knowledge of test repository or defect tracking systems like Jira
- Ability to communicate technical information at a high level using common language
- A sense of accountability for individual and team objectives, with a focus on quality
- Ability to be onsite in Chicago office location daily when needed
- Reliable home internet access and appropriate workspace for taking meetings when working remote
- 1-5 years QE/QA/QC experience
- Fundamental understanding of debugging various mobile and desktop browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox)
- Experience with working with gaming, point of sale (POS), or similar terminals
- Experience working with multiple Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook) using Airdrop
- Web design or server administration experience
- Experience with API software such as Postman
- Experience in the service industry, retail, sales, or consultancy
- Experience using spreadsheets for managing data (Excel, Numbers, SmartSheets)
- Experience managing documents or office materials in a physical space
- Familiarity working with the Google ecosystem (G-Suite, Gmail, Google Drive)
- Experience using collaborative tools (Teams, Slack, Asana)
- Artistic passion (music/arts/language)
- Critical thinking/analytical skills
- Problem-solving and lateral thinking skills
- Technical writing
- Able to prioritize, manage, and track multiple activities/tasks
- Communication and organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Ability to assimilate new information quickly
- Enthusiastic approach and “can-do” attitude
- Comfortable working collaboratively in larger teams

- A Competitive pay, the salary range for the role is $70000 - $80,000.
