School Counselor - School Year 2025-26

Essential Functions:

• Provide counseling services to students to enhance personal, social, and academic success
• Provide crisis intervention, short-term counseling, group counseling and development
• Coordinate and develop 504 plan in consultation with teachers and parents
• Participate in our MTSS (formerly RTL) process
• Refine school counseling program to meet the needs of K-8 school
• Collect and report data as needed
• Engage in professional involvement in district meetings
• Attendance at parent teacher conferences
  
  

Education, Experience, and Requirements:

• Master's Degree in School Counseling, or other related discipline including school psychology and school social work
• CDE License required with a School Counselor endorsement
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong skills working with families and community partners
• Experience working with 504 plans and students with disabilities
• Ability to maintain high ethical and legal standards in a school setting
• Knowledge of the ASCA National Model and willingness to develop and implement a comprehensive counseling program
• Charter school experience preferred
• Elementary and middle school experience preferred
• Familiarity with Infinite Campus preferred
• Experience with behavior de-escalation, intervention and conflict resolution preferred
