Our broad knowledge and continuous development of new solutions is the basis for our success and enables us to build long-lasting relationships with our customers.We are looking for a technical Sales Manager with a focus on the defense industry in the US.
This is a remote position. Relocation is not required. Travel up to 50% is required.
Responsibilities Include
Knowledge of optical systems, sensors, camera modules, test & measurement applications, metrology equipment, automated manufacturingMinimum 5ys sales experience with the US Defense industry, including contract review.
Experience using government websites to track awards and identify opportunities
A proven track record of successful sales growth
Ability to prepare and present effective technical product presentations, and communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFQs, and reports
Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Ability to work with others in a global management matrix structure
Qualifications (continued)
Ability to travel; ability to sit at desk or PC for long periods of time; ability to work in company office, home office, or remote work settings.

Responsibilities Include
- Represent Trioptics as the face to the customer
- Visit existing and potential customers to educate them about Trioptics products and services, deliver sales presentations, identify customer requirements, and develop business relationships.
- Manage key accounts as assigned by management
- Identify new customer prospects within the assigned region and work with the US sales director to develop effective sales growth strategies
- Facilitate business development through customer visits and demos, building relationships with customers and key influencers
- Work closely with customers’ and TRIOPTICS engineering teams to fully understand customers’ needs and technical requirements
- Present customers with both standard products and custom solutions
- Active involvement in the development and execution of budgets, forecasts, quotes, and contracts
- Attend trade shows and other industry events as required
- Prepare and distribute trips, customer visits, trade shows, and other reports
- Maintain an accurate sales forecast using the CRM database for all active customer accounts
- Participate in regularly scheduled sales meetings
- Be willing to “step outside of the box” and take on new responsibilities as the needs arise
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations

- Effectively communicates and influences at all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel (domestically and internationally)
- In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
- B.S. or equivalent in Optics, Engineering or Physics (preferred), or other technical or scientific field
- Five years of Defense industry experience in field/technical sales for optical instruments, equipment, or other related metrology solutions
- A background in optical metrology or optics-related manufacturing applications.
Ability to travel; ability to sit at desk or PC for long periods of time; ability to work in company office, home office, or remote work settings.
