Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Construction
- Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and designers to finalize plans.
- Develop critical path project schedules.
- Source and vet subcontractor and vendor bids.
- Manage permitting and approvals.
- Construction Management
- Lead daily site operations and ensure schedule, safety, and quality compliance.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections.
- Monitor budgets and address variances proactively.
- Conduct weekly site meetings and quality assurance reviews.
- Enforce company site protocols and reporting standards.
- Client & Team Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison with homeowners.
- Manage change orders and secure timely approvals.
- Provide weekly progress and risk updates to senior leadership.
- Close-Out
- Oversee final inspections, punch list completion, and client handover.
- Lead the warranty transition and homeowner orientation process.
- Experience
- 5+ years leading custom home builds or Bachelors Degree in Construction Management
- Experience managing projects valued at $2M-$6M.
- High-performance homebuilding (Passive House, LEED) is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency
- Deep knowledge of structural systems, envelopes, HVAC, and smart tech.
- Experience with radiant heating, triple-glazed windows, and energy-efficient systems.
- Familiar with scheduling platforms like Google Suite, CompanyCam, MultiVista, Quickbooks, Project Management software etc.
- Leadership & Communication
- Skilled at leading teams and managing subcontractors.
- Clear and professional communication, especially with clients.
- Education & Certifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Civil Engineering preferred.
