Key Responsibilities
- Course Delivery: Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction that aligns with course objectives and adheres to program standards. Tailor your teaching methods to accommodate a variety of student needs, utilizing adult learning principles.
- Learning Outcomes: Establish clear, measurable teaching outcomes and objectives, employing diverse instructional techniques to promote student success.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with subject matter experts, educational institutions, and nonprofit professionals to ensure course content remains relevant and up to date.
- Student Engagement: Actively engage in orientations, meetings, program graduations, and required training sessions to foster an interactive learning atmosphere.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and assessments, in the learning management system, ensuring timely submission of documentation.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Cultivate an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse perspectives and integrates DEI principles into your teaching strategies.
- Professional Conduct: Uphold high standards of professionalism, ensuring a supportive and respectful learning experience for all students.
- Nonprofit Leadership: A minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles within the nonprofit sector, with a focus on organizational operations, strategic planning, and workforce development.
- Teaching Experience: At least 2 years of experience in teaching or facilitating adult learning, whether in classroom or virtual settings.
- Instructional Tools: Proficiency with learning management systems and the ability to effectively incorporate technology into the learning process.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for a diverse audience.
- Collaboration: A proven track record of working effectively within team environments and engaging with community partners.
- Remote Instruction: Experience in teaching within hybrid or virtual environments is advantageous. Familiarity with HyFlex delivery models is a plus.
- Commitment to DEI: A strong dedication to promoting and engaging learners from diverse backgrounds.
