The Compensation Analyst is focused on maintaining Neighborhood’s Base Pay Structure. This is accomplished by ensuring each Neighborhood job has a solid match to available survey data. The Compensation Analyst will become familiar with their assigned job groups and work closely with the HR Team and Hiring Managers to review job matches, pay grade assignments, pay equity analysis and more. The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for participating in Compensation Surveys to ensure that our benchmark library has various sources to use for job matches. The Compensation Analyst will also work closely with the Talent Acquisition Team on job offers, appropriate ranges of offers and basic training for Talent Acquisition Team and Hiring Managers. The Compensation Analyst will also be a central player in job descriptions.

Salary range:$95,000 to $136,000 annually, depending on experience/education and additional qualifications.

The Compensation Analyst is focused on maintaining Neighborhood’s Base Pay Structure. This is accomplished by ensuring each Neighborhood job has a solid match to available survey data. The Compensation Analyst will become familiar with their assigned job groups and work closely with the HR Team and Hiring Managers to review job matches, pay grade assignments, pay equity analysis and more. Responsibilities
- Provide offer assistance for all job offers which include internal and external offer letters.
- Ensures that each Neighborhood job has a job description on file to match against various benchmark survey sources to tie to market data.
- Uses market data to update and maintain Neighborhood’s Base Pay Structure for all Neighborhood roles from Courier to Chief Executive Officer.
- Works with external sources to obtain salary survey data to be used in Neighborhood’s Compensation Tool which may include participating in surveys to obtain the survey data.
- Provides compensation research/analysis and makes recommendations to resolve compensation issues such as compression, internal equity, new job creation, etc.
- Uses data from multiple systems to provides Impact Analysis for compensation recommendations based on Neighborhood specific reasons, new benchmark data and/or legislation changes like changing minimum wages.
- Manages large data sets to perform equity reviews and develop communications to leaders and impacted employees to ensure awareness of processes and market rationale
- Develop user friendly tools and training to ensure alignment between compensation data, offer letters and internal equity.
- Responds to Manager requests for Department Reviews.
- Works closely with HRIS team on the creation and maintenance of jobs and pay grades in Neighborhood’s HRIS.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, etc. or equivalent experience and skills in lieu of a bachelor’s degree are welcomed, recognizing non-traditional learning and career paths.
- Proven experience analyzing large data sets, presenting to key decision makers, and implementing recommendations, required.
- Experience working in a high paced organization with 400 unique job titles preferred.
- Certifications, such as a HRIS related, CCP or SHRM certification are nice to have.
- Experience with compensation surveys and market data analysis required
- Experience with Payfactors and/or Payscale preferred.
- UKG Ultipro experience preferred
- Experience with SharePoint preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing, and proofreading skills
- Strong analytical skills and math aptitude required
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Strong knowledge with MS Excel including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts and working with large data sets required
- Working knowledge of compensation related laws and best practices
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent planning and organizational ability
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner
- Ability to lift/carry 10 lbs./weight
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Salary range:$95,000 to $136,000 annually, depending on experience/education and additional qualifications.
