We are seeking an Individual Developmental Disabilities Assessor (Coordinated Assessment System (CAS) Assessor) to conduct assessments for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role involves using the Coordinated Assessment System (CAS) to evaluate individuals and develop support plans. As part of a statewide initiative in collaboration with a leading national partner, this role plays a key part in ensuring adults with IDD receive the services they need. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

- Schedule and conduct in-person assessments in home and community settings while following a hybrid work model.
- Travel within the Capital Region to meet with individuals, families, and caregivers.
- Use a person-centered interview approach to assess individuals' needs and strengths.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of assessments in compliance with state guidelines.
- Interview caregivers, providers, and other key stakeholders to gather necessary information.
- Utilize multiple data sources, including records review, for assessment coding.
- Enter data into assessment software and meet documentation deadlines.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards as required.
- Arrange interpreter services as needed for languages other than English and Spanish.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a human services field.
- Minimum one (1) year of direct experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD).
- Preferred: Experience conducting assessments and prior CAS experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, email, and web-based applications.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – preferred.
- Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License or NYS ID card.
- Must be willing to travel throughout the assigned region.
