Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Deputy Director for Behavioral Health provide overall oversight of the Foster Care Behavioral Health program.
Essential Duties
Children’s Aid will conduct a prompt and thorough investigation of all allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or any violation of the Equal Employment Opportunity Policy in a confidential manner and will take appropriate corrective action, if and where warranted. The incumbent is expected to work a schedule, whether in-person or hybrid, as determined by the department's needs to facilitate effective collaboration with the team. This flexibility is essential for maintaining seamless communication, fostering teamwork, and ensuring the smooth operation of the department's processes. The position's requirements are subject to periodic review and adjustment based on organizational needs and changes in work dynamics.
Under the supervision of the Deputy Director for Behavioral Health provide overall oversight of the Foster Care Behavioral Health program.
Essential Duties
- Lead, manage and directly supervise the program staff and administrative staff.
- Effectively manage client referral and enrollment systems, documentation, service provision and fiscal outcomes.
- Ensure reports are received in a timely manner from evaluators.
- Review and submit billing invoices from Psychologist and Psychiatrists.
- Liaison for Psychiatrist (follow up on medication consents, lab requests, etc.).
- Develop monthly revenue and productivity outcomes for direct service providers and supervisors.
- Working with Human Resources, recruit, hire, and ensure the high-quality training of all staff.
- Develop policies for staff training requirements and tracking system for recording trainings.
- Ensure program is fully compliant with all DOH, OCFS, Medicaid, OMIG, and organizational standards and policies.
- Work with program leadership across organization to ensure all eligible youth within Children’s Aid and in the communities we serve receive all services they are eligible for.
- Oversees the review of all paperwork and ensures timely completion.
- Ensure team meets billing targets and billing is accurate and timely
- Participate in the development and growth of program philosophy and practice
- Assume proficiency with program database and computer systems
- Collaborate with child welfare and other community agencies
- Oversee the work of the Administrative Supervisor to ensure all recommendations for foster children are implemented and that billing is being done in a timely manner.
- Liaison with various ACS departments including the MHCU unit and Psychotropic Medication Unit
- Represent the agency on external committee such as Clinicians in Child Welfare (CCW) and Coalition for Behavioral Health.
- Other duties as assigned
- LCSW / LMHC
- A minimum of three years in management in child welfare, social services or a related field.
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in program development, administration and staff supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Compliance with all privacy laws including H.I.P.A.A.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
