Job Summary:

This position is a key support staff member responsible for understanding governmental regulatory reporting needs, completion of regulatory reports, and supporting and furthering goals and priorities of the system Reimbursement team, including Medicare, Medicaid, and other Governmental Cost Report filings, audits and appeals, State provider tax programs, and staying current on Federal and State government regulatory changes. Additionally, this role serves as a resource for Medicare regulatory research, reimbursement analysis for new services, regulatory and legislative change, and strategic planning.

Additionally, this role serves as a resource for Medicare regulatory research, reimbursement analysis for new services, regulatory and legislative change, and strategic planning.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for assigned aspects of third-party government payer reimbursement. This includes Medicare, Medicaid, and other Governmental Cost Report filings, audits and appeals, State provider tax programs.
- Completes regulatory filings for assigned states and/or service lines that are mandated by governmental regulations and laws in a timely manner maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develops expertise in assigned reporting areas to gain an understanding of the data reporting needs and challenges.
- Monitors changes in the regulatory environment with a focus on identifying reimbursement opportunities.
- Present findings, issues, and action plans as requested to leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- Minimum of three years’ progressive experience focusing on regulatory reporting or equivalent job experience in the health care industry required
- Must have working knowledge of computers, both hardware and software. Ability to work independently on computer applications with a minimum of supervision/training.
- Demonstrates and models positive attitude, cheerfulness, initiative, patience, enthusiasm, and problem-solving skills.
