The Team:

The Retail Team works in tandem with our stores, eCommerce, Visual Merchandising, Customer Development & Relationship Management, Operations and Merchandising teams to develop our HOP Omnichannel strategy. Collectively we provide leadership and support to each store ensuring a consistent message across the country. We seek and propose new opportunities for growth by store, métiers, and new locations. Partnerships with our corporate departments on store projects are a key to our success. Our ambition is to nurture and consistently improve service, at every level, as a top priority to preserve and maintain the image positioning of Hermès in the US market.

The Opportunity:

As a Regional Vice President, you will be responsible for leading strategic business planning and operational execution across a defined network of stores. The Regional Vice President, Northern Region, will oversee nine boutiques, including American Dream, Boston, Chicago, Chicago Plaza Del Lago, Greenwich, Princeton, Short Hills, Troy, King of Prussia. You will act as a key business partner, driving performance through data-informed decisions, people development, and customer-centric leadership. This role requires a balance of analytical expertise, market sensitivity, and hands-on engagement with store teams to ensure sustainable growth and alignment with brand standards. All other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

About the Role:

  • Strategic Planning & Business Development
  • Lead budget and B+2 planning with a strategic, results-oriented mindset.
  • Assess and validate headcount allocations based on actual needs and growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate performance and potential per metier; identify high-growth areas and propose activation strategies.
  • Identify and support new business opportunities, including store openings, city expansions, and local activations.
  • Monitor year-to-date (YTD) performance and implement action plans aligned with business needs.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and competitor activity, reporting key insights to business partners.
  • Leadership & Communication
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing retail team; ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular store visits (2 full days 3 times/year) to maintain team visibility and alignment.
  • Conduct regular informal conversations for all team members, fostering a culture of open feedback.
  • Guide store teams in opportunity planning by metier, event strategy, and leather/product allocations.
  • Build & maintain strong relationship with HR partner to drive succession planning, actively participate in annual Talent Review, swiftly address HR issues, oversee leadership recruitment.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, including Internal Control, Asset Protection & T&E expenses
  • Oversee back-of-house (BOH) efficiency including RDI/CDI reviews, after-sales cases, and cycle counts.
  • Facilitate regular communication via one-on-one touch bases and regional calls.
  • Regularly bring forward ideas and strategic insights to the Retail Committee; openly share talent across regions; surface challenges with proposed solutions; communicate regularly with RVP counterparts to ensure consistent practices across all regions.
  • Product & Merchandising
  • Ensure product availability and alignment with key sales periods and local demand.
  • Actively manage precollection and podium order cycles with targeted feedback.
  • Analyze product performance, slow movers, and merchandising effectiveness.
  • Maintain visual merchandising (VM) standards in line with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate on store layout, visual updates, and operational improvements to enhance client experience.
  • Store Director Onboarding & Leadership Development
  • Facilitate structured onboarding for new Store Directors, including policy education and cultural immersion.
  • Provide minimum of one week of in-store coaching, followed by bi-weekly check-ins over three months.
  • Support Store Directors in understanding buying tools and executing initial product buys.
  • Operational Flexibility & Brand Representation
  • Provide hands-on support during high-demand periods, management transitions, or stock movements.
  • Resolve client complaints and ensure satisfaction across the region.
  • Attend and support key retail events including private appointments, celebrations, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Embody the leadership philosophy of “walking the floor” to build trust and engagement with teams.
  • Maintain accountability by respecting deadlines and promoting operational excellence.

  • Partner with Store Directors and business leaders to develop actionable business growth plans.
  • Leverage data to drive insights, share best practices, and continuously challenge the status quo.

About You:

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive retail leadership experience, preferably in luxury or premium retail
  • Strong strategic planning and financial acumen
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate multi-site teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in merchandising, buying, and retail operations
  • Proficient in business analysis and data-driven decision-making
  • Travel 45-50%, domestically & internationally
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to lift, push, carry and pull 25 lbs + and stand for prolonged periods of time on the selling floor

The range for this position is $254,318.90 – $312,115.00. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.
