Pay: $23.14-32.96
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Maintain applicant tracking system; attend job fairs; update online job boards (Indeed, College job boards, etc.) Work with hiring managers to determine staffing needs; screen and interview applicants using interview guidelines (behavioral based interviewing); process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants. Issue new hire uniforms as well as assisting with apparel inventory and distribution. Coordinate and schedule background checks and drug testing in the California area, and other areas as needed. Enter and make changes for new employees, rehires, and transfers in HRIS (UKG); assist with coordinating and facilitating new hire employee orientation; ensure that human resource files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures; prepare job postings for hiring database as well as weekly internal job postings; provide administrative support to the Human Resource Department including, but not limited to, distributing mail, filing, faxing, and copying; sort and distribute paychecks; compile and input payroll information into HRIS; ; enter changes to W-4 elections, direct deposits, address changes, etc. Back up other Human Resource staff as needed.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in all areas of human resource duties or equivalent education; experience in interviewing required. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; ability to handle confidential information. Positive attitude with internal and external customers; Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Driver’s License with no more than 2 moving violations and/or 1 chargeable accident within the last three years
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, typing, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Heavy Work: Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally.
Work Environment: Indoor climate-controlled environment.
