A Radio Frequency (RF) Subject Matter Expert (SME) position will work independently in advising customers on all aspects of wireless technologies. This position will be responsible for assuring the viability, functionality, and effectiveness of essential systems, tools, and platforms. The person will identify requirements for future facility tenants and evolving Radio Frequency technologies (5G, NextGen, WiFi, etc.) to determine applicability for campus implementation. This position will also get involved in the planning, designing and accreditation for Mobility activities for campus approach to cellular, WiFi, and other Radio Frequency Technologies.
The position would be located at a government facility in Huntsville, AL and requires work to be performed onsite. Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.

- Active Top Secret Clearance / SCI eligible
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10 years of experience in wireless communication
- Extensive SME-level expertise on cellular 4G/5G technologies
- Experience in RF triangulation, RF spectrum management, RF intermodulation analysis and mitigation techniques
- Expertise in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID, Li-Fi, and wireless intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Experience with emerging wireless technologies to include wireless transport, (Microwave paths, Optical paths, and Satellite links)
- Experience in cyber vulnerability and risk analysis
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Network or other Certifications needed or specialty experience CCNP Wireless, ACMP, ACMX, or ECSE are all relevant certifications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Security+
- Certified Wireless Technical Specialist (CWTS)
- CISSP
