Public Speaker

Overview

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Public Speaker to deliver multiple engaging and informative sessions in a single day focused on Impostor Syndrome for our client’s staff. The speaker will educate, motivate, and create a safe space for staff to better understand and overcome impostor-related challenges in their personal and professional lives. This is a one-time event requiring high energy, empathy, and the ability to connect with diverse audiences throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver multiple high-impact sessions (approx. 3-5) on the topic of Impostor Syndrome over the course of the event day.
• Tailor content and tone appropriately for varied audience groups (employees at different levels and departments).
• Engage participants through storytelling, relatable examples, and interactive elements.
• Maintain a consistent and professional presence throughout the day as the sole speaker.
• Collaborate with the event coordinator to manage timing and logistics.
• Answer questions thoughtfully and respectfully following each session.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional public speaker, facilitator, coach, or trainer.
• Deep understanding of Impostor Syndrome, including causes, impacts, and evidence-based strategies for overcoming it.
• Strong storytelling ability and confidence speaking to small and large groups.
• Ability to adapt tone and content delivery based on audience dynamics.
• Comfortable leading multiple sessions with high energy and consistency.
• Background in psychology, education, leadership coaching, or DEI topics a plus.
  
  

Physical Demands & Requirements

• Ability to stand and present for extended periods (30–60 minutes per session, multiple times a day).
• Occasional walking and movement between rooms or setups throughout the venue.
• Must be able to carry personal presentation materials and minimal supplies (up to 15 lbs.).
• Stamina to maintain energy, clarity, and engagement across multiple sessions during a full-day event (up to 8 hours on site).
• Comfortable with light setup and adjusting AV equipment with staff assistance if needed.
