The Job
The Vice President, People & Culture will be a strategic leader responsible for activating a high-performance, values-aligned culture and enabling talent effectiveness across the organization. As the principal business partner to senior leadership, this role will lead enterprise-wide efforts to embed culture, enhance leadership effectiveness, and optimize talent strategy to meet business goals. The VP will be a thought partner to the CPO and a key voice in shaping the employee experience from onboarding through retention and development.

The Job

You Will
People Partner Leadership
- Lead the People Partner function, ensuring tight alignment between business goals and people strategies.
- Coach and advise senior leaders on organizational design, talent planning, talent effectiveness, and culture stewardship.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging trends in workforce dynamics, DEIB, and the future of work.
- Drive enterprise culture transformation aligned with organizational mission, vision, and values.
- Lead employee engagement strategy and oversee listening mechanisms (e.g., surveys, focus groups) to gather insights and track progress.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to embed culture in ways of working, recognition programs, leadership development, and internal communications.
- Develop and execute strategies that improve organizational health, team effectiveness, and leadership impact.
- Build and scale tools, frameworks, and experiences that elevate goal alignment, feedback, and performance.
- Champion change management and leadership capabilities needed to support ongoing growth and transformation.
- Act as a connective tissue between business units, People COEs (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Talent Strategy, HR Ops), and senior leadership to ensure an integrated approach to people and culture strategy.
- Use data, storytelling, and influence to elevate people strategy as a key driver of business success.
- Drive effective collaboration with COEs on process improvements where applicable
Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.

Your Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience leading business partner teams and culture-focused initiatives.
- Proven success in driving organizational transformation, leadership development, and employee engagement.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, mission-driven, or scaling environments.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to connect dots across functions, data, and strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
- Base Pay Range: $275,000.00 to $300,000.00 annually
- Work Mode: Mostly Onsite (In the Long Beach, CA office 2 times a week on Tuesday and Wednesday)
