Role Overview

This new role will provide the opportunity to blaze a new trail. Love Moves Us has become an influence and leader in the Chicagoland area in providing community, encouragement and support for families who foster or adopt vulnerable children. We’re positioned to take our programs to the next level by partnering with a largely untapped market - churches. Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children? This person will be responsible for building and caring for volunteer teams, developing and executing programs that align with our mission, and forging new partnerships with churches and businesses.


Key Responsibilities


Program Leadership & Execution

  • Plan and oversee Family Gatherings program including catering, as well as summer events, and special activities.
  • Ensure consistent program delivery across all locations with attention to detail and hospitality.
  • Evaluate and improve programs for impact and sustainability.
  • Participates and assists with all LoveMoves.Us events and fundraisers

 

Volunteer Development & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer leaders and teams to start new groups in new locations.
  • Foster a culture of community and care within the volunteer base.
  • Empower volunteers to take ownership while maintaining mission alignment.

 

Church & Community Partnerships

  • Build meaningful relationships with churches, pastors, business owners and agencies.
  • Identify community needs and ways to meet those needs through partnerships.
  • Create mutually beneficial partnerships with churches where we both give and receive.
  • Develop new partnerships with local businesses to create family-friendly initiatives like discount programs or in-kind services.

 

Innovation & Growth

  • Identify and develop new programs and initiatives that further our mission.
  • Create and manage systems that improve program effectiveness and volunteer experience.
  • Contribute to a culture of creative problem solving and continuous improvement.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a flexible, fast-moving environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to proactive, personal, and compassionate service.
  • Ministry-minded: able to shepherd others with care and empathy.
  • Experience working in nonprofit, ministry, family support, or foster/adoptive care is a plus.

Compensation

This is a full-time flexible position. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Remote with on-site event responsibilities
