Habitat for Humanity works in King and Kittitas Counties to eliminate sub-standard housing and strengthen communities by building, renovating and repairing homes.
The Program Coordinator is a mission critical full time employee whose primary responsibility will be to assist the Homebuyer Selection team in the collection and compilation of the Homebuyer applications, supporting documentation and financial information. The Coordinator is a vital connection between homebuyer applicants and the Selection Team, providing the support to insure applications are submitted quickly and accurately.
The Coordinator is responsible for communicating with homebuyer applicants to request documents as needed to submit a complete application. This will consist of weekly communication with prospective applicants to update them on the status of their file. Along with applicant homebuyer communications, responsibilities will encompass recordkeeping, database input and file management. They will also play a vital role in providing input and feedback to the marketing team to continually improve outreach efficacy.
Working closely with the Program Manager, the Coordinator must be able to take direction and be self-motivated to complete assignments.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for applicant follow up, either through email or telephone communication, the coordinator must possess a clear understanding of the Homebuyer selection criteria and process and be able to answer applicant questions
- Responsible for organizing homebuyer applications, the coordinator will request required documents from homebuyer applicants, including current income information, employment verification, bank statements and other items as identified.
- Organize and facilitate homebuyer application sessions for every development selection when needed.
- Understands and ensures applicant processing complies with all legal and regulatory requirements including but not limited to Fair Housing, Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Equal Opportunity laws. Comply with annual QLO certification with HFHI, knowledgeable of new laws, and any continuing education requirements.
- Maintain and Update HomeKeeper with new applicant information and continuously updating status and tracking for all applicants and partner families.
- Responsible for pulling reports and statistics when needed for reporting or grant submissions.
- Maintain current files on selected homebuyers, updating documents as needed including credit reports, screenings, tax forms, paystubs, bank statements and other time sensitive documents
- Work with volunteers and staff to facilitate Habitat’s pooled application process by training committee members, scheduling interview appointments, compiling scores, and presenting results to management.
- Work with program manager to assist in orienting families after they have been selected to ensure understanding of ownership requirements and engagement with Habitat through preparing documents and scheduling LOA orientation meetings with homebuyers.
- Works with program manager to quarterly review and update or revise selection documents and processes
- Responsible for inputting selection and homebuyer statistics for monthly program reporting
- Responsible for ensuring applicant electronic documents and information are organized and filed accurately in SharePoint.
- Required to attend and support marketing and outreach coordinator at community events when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: This position may supervise volunteers but is not a direct supervisory role.

Minimum Education, Experience And Skills
- Customer Service experience or training appreciated.
- Administrative and recordkeeping experience preferred
- Preferred candidate has one or more years working directly with low-income or vulnerable populations, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Experience working with people using English as a second language.
Previous Experience And/or Skills May Include
- File and records administration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of and ability to apply principles of effective adult learning
- Diplomacy, persuasiveness and the conflict resolution skills needed for difficult interactions
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher, Salesforce and SharePoint
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and mathematics.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is required to talk and must be able to read. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Extensive keyboarding is required.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate consisting of usual business office sounds including but not limited to computers, printers, telephones, and light foot traffic.
- Occasionally perform light construction work at construction building sites, participating in activities like digging, painting, lifting up to 50lbs, pushing and pulling
