Job Description

Our Digital Experience and Marketing Departments at Sally Beauty Holdings (NYSE: SBH) are expanding and we’re looking for dynamic, driven marketers to join our teams! The Production Designer is involved in all aspects of graphic design and production of assets for use in all media. This role is responsible for creating and delivering accurate print and media ready files based on overall campaign direction, brand standards, and specifications per channel. The candidate will support the Sr. Designers and be accountable for execution of high-volume design production. The Designer is accountable for accuracy and execution while honoring budget, schedule, and creative requirements of each project. This role is a hybrid role reporting into the office in Denton TX on Tuesdays and Weds of each work week.

Core Responsibilities

  • Keen creative ability as it relates to the design and composition of art, copy, graphics and typography for all media. Adhere to campaign decks and brand standards in the approach to design with great accuracy and detail.
  • Develop creative solutions for variety of specifications in digital, web, print, store design elements, show displays, pop and more.
  • Partner with project managers, copywriters, and other designers to ensure seamless integration with creative process and procedures.
  • Constantly innovate, looking for newness and efficiencies in the production process to save time and accurately produce high a volume of work in traditional and new media channels.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure design intent is met and brand integrity and approved campaign creative is maintained.
  • Naturally curious, gaining insight into strategic intent and specifications of each project for delivery of accurate files.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 3+ years of design experience is strongly preferred
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator in a MAC production environment
  • Experience in Workfront or other project flow platforms
  • Design and Release files with great detail and accuracy

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
  • The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
