Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and execute plans to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant, including production planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all safety protocols and manufacturing SOPs are strictly followed and that the plant complies with all regulatory requirements.
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure timely availability and minimize waste.
- Develop and manage the plant’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting production targets.
- Lead and motivate a team of supervisors, technicians, and other staff members, providing guidance and coaching to improve performance and productivity, to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Performance Management of all employees, including performance reviews, goal setting, production goals, disciplinary action, career development and succession planning.
- Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, including production metrics, safety incidents, and financial results.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and optimize operational costs.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
- Perform role of leadership as an example of integrity, respect and uncompromising business conduct
- Leadership skills in problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of business and management principles for strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing plant management role, preferably in the agriculture chemical industry.
