Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute plans to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant, including production planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and manufacturing SOPs are strictly followed and that the plant complies with all regulatory requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure timely availability and minimize waste.
  • Develop and manage the plant’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting production targets.
  • Lead and motivate a team of supervisors, technicians, and other staff members, providing guidance and coaching to improve performance and productivity, to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Performance Management of all employees, including performance reviews, goal setting, production goals, disciplinary action, career development and succession planning.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, including production metrics, safety incidents, and financial results.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Criteria

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and optimize operational costs.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
  • Perform role of leadership as an example of integrity, respect and uncompromising business conduct
  • Leadership skills in problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles for strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing plant management role, preferably in the agriculture chemical industry.
