About The Position

Job Title: Non-Traditional Investment Team Intern

Hiring Manager: Managing Director, Investment Initiatives

Employment: Full-time Internship (June 2025-August 2025)

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL; New York NY

Salary Range: $100,000 prorated salary

As a Non-Traditional Intern on the Non-Traditional Investment team, you will use your reporting, source-building, and analytical skills to research large cap, publicly-traded companies worldwide, often by conducting interviews with former employees, competitors, suppliers, regulators, and offering your perspective on the potential long-term risks and opportunities within these companies.

Non-Traditional Analysts at GQG are key to our research mosaic as they bring in a differentiated view when looking at companies. They focus on understanding a company’s culture and management and look for risks that are underappreciated by those analyzing the business through traditional financial lenses. The role focuses on the qualitative aspects of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently on a broad range of stock ideas.
  • Contact and gain access to a broad range of individuals who can help you understand a companies, industries and themes.
  • Develop clear, concise, and insightful write-ups.
  • Recommend stocks, that create a material impact on the book.
  • Communicate recommendations to the Portfolio Management team in a clear, concise and effective manner.
  • Contribute fresh, new, and challenging perspectives and ideas.
  • Review a wide variety and diverse set of industries, sectors, and organizations.

Qualifications

  • Major in Journalism/Communications.
  • Global mindset.
  • Passionate and inquisitive.
  • Self-starter – ability to work on deliverables and projects alone.
  • Pro-active, self-driven, and self-motivated.
  • Competitive team player.
  • Solid analytical/logical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence balanced with humility.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
